EPANDMEDIA’S LEN EPAND DIRECTS TV AND RADIO ADS FOR MICHELLE RHEE’S STUDENTSFIRST CAMPAIGN TO END "LAST IN-FIRST OUT" RULE

EpandMedia worked with SKDKnickerbocker’s Jessica McCreight and consultant Anita Dunn, as well as creative director Matt Herath, on a campaign to end the Nevada and Michigan school systems’ policy of "Last in--First Out " especially critical in this difficult era of teacher cut backs. The campaign, on behalf of former DC schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee’s "StudentsFirst " organization, includes TV and radio ads such as Nevada’s “Justin Brecht,” directed by Len Epand, which tells the story of a young, twice-honored “Teacher of the Year” let go in favor of longer serving, ineffective teachers. The StudentsFirst ads advocate that when it comes to layoffs teachers be judged on merit, not seniority.
