EpandMedia Produces U.S. Representative Bill Foster’s Winning Radio Ads

Epandmedia produced four radio ads supporting Democrat Bill Foster’s successful 2008 run against Republican Jim Oberweis. Commissioned by Squier Knapp Dunn consultants Keith Kincaid and Jim Mulhall, the ads contrasted Foster’s experience as a businessman who has created jobs, and his advocacy of middle class tax cuts, with Oberweis’s support of George W. Bush’s failed policies.

Foster and Oberweis ran in a special election to replace former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert as US Representative from Illinois's 14th congressional district. Foster defeated Oberweis in a tight election race (52.5 % to 47.5%) and is currently serving in the 110th United States Congress. Foster's victory was the first time a House seat flipped parties in a special election since Democrat Stephanie Herseth Sandlin won the open South Dakota at-large seat of Republican Bill Janklow in June 2004.
