It was distributed nationally by New Line TV during the holiday season and significantly boosted Arista’s sales of the artists it featured, ranging from Whitney Houston and Toni Braxton to Ace of Base and Alan Jackson.

Produced by Len Epand, this TV Special and home video was nominated for a Grammy for 'Best Longform Music Video." The hour-length program aired on TNN and was released by Warner Reprise Home Video. Critics praised its skillful intercutting of the stories of three severely disabled US veterans, footage of their inspiring efforts to regain active lives -- skiing blind or with the help of special equipment -- and performance of Travis Tritt and band in concert for the Vets at their annual winter sport event in Snowmass, CO.

This VH1 and Disney Channel presentation and home video long form video written, co-directed and produced by Len Epand garnered two nominations for 1996 NAACP Image Awards and was acclaimed for its rendering of the Queen of Soul’s life story intercut with original performances at her piano in her Detroit home’s living room.
